Vårt styremedlem av jordforeningen, Bal Ram Singh, fikk under WCSS2022 i Glasgow tildelt to priser: en ærespris og en pris for innsatsen som leder av Division-3 Soil Use and Management. Gratulere Bal Ram, vel fortjent!
Bal Ram Singh, Professor Emeritus, Norwegian University of Life Sciences, Ås, Norway and Chair Div.3-Soil Use and Management, International Union of Soil Science (IUSS), received the award as an Honorary Member of the International Union of Soil Science (IUSS), from the IUSS President at the Gala Dinner of the World Congress of Soil Science (WCSS 2022) held in Glasgow, Scotland. The prize was given for distinction in soil science and contributions to IUSS. It is first time that a Norwegian Scientist has received this prestigious award in the 98 years history of IUSS.Bal Ram Singh, Professor Emeritus, Norwegian University of Life Sciences, Ås, Norway and Chair Div.3-Soil Use and Management, International Union of Soil Science (IUSS), received the award as Chair of Division3-Soil Use and Management (2016-2022) of the International Union of Soil Science (IUSS) along with Chairs of division 1,2, and 4. The award was given for distinction in soil science and contributions to IUSS as Division Chair. The IUSS President is in the middle.
